In 1965, Great Plains Development Corporation flew an airborne EM and magnetic survey over undisposed lands which covered the showing area (AF 73P03-0009).

In 1974, L. Forsythe geologically mapped the English Bay area for Saskatchewan Department of Mineral Resources. In June of 1974, SMDC staked the showing area as CBS 3488. Between 1974 and 1975, Saskatchewan Government Department of Northern Saskatchewan, as part of the Mineral Exploration Plan, completed a multimedia geochemical survey and follow-up ground EM and magnetic surveys (AF 63L09-0023 and -0024). In 1976, SMDC completed ground EM and magnetic surveys on CBS 3488 (AF 73P03-0025). In 1978, further ground EM and magnetic surveys were completed (AF 73P03-0027). CBS 3488 was dropped on 19 September 1980.

In 1985, J. Lewry and W. Slimmon completed a 1 to 1 million scale compilation geology for NTS sheets 73-P and 73-I. In 1988, B. Scott completed a metallogenic map of the same area foir Saskatchewan Energy and Mines.

On 2 October 1996, Peter Knudsen staked the showing area as S-99013. Between 1996 and 1997, Knudsen completed ground VLF-EM and magnetic surveys over a grid cut on the claim and follow-up drill holes CSP-1 to -3 (AF 73P03-0033). Drill hole CSP-3 encountered the gold mineralization which constitutes this showing. In 1999, Knudsen completed ground VLF-EM and magnetic surveys over the showing (AF 73P03-0034). On 1 April 2000, S-99013 was allowed to lapse.

In 1999, Knudsen drilled 8 holes to the northeast and 3 holes to the southwest of discovery hole CSP-3 (CSP-4 to 16) on the area formerly covered by S-99013 (AF 73P03-0035).

On 1 April 2000, Peter Knudsen re-staked the showing as S-106465. In the same year, he completed drill holes CSP-17 to CSP-27 on the showing grid (AF 73P03-0036). The better intersections are given above. In the following year, Knudsen completed infill drill holes CSP-28 to CSP-35 on the showing grid between holes CSP-3 and CSP-16 (AF 73P03-0037). The better intersections are given above.
