Oil companies want to go with Pemex

11 companies are getting ready to participate in the bidding that aims to assign a partner to Pemex

The areas that will be put to tender are located in terrestrial fields.

A total of 11 companies are getting ready to participate in the bidding process that aims to assign a partner to Pemex in order to exploit seven contract areas in Veracruz, Chiapas and Tabasco, it is the only tender that remained firm within the new government.

 
 

Companies such as California Resources Corporation, China Offshore Oil Corporation E & P Mexico, Spanish Petroleum Company, Deutsche Erdoel Mexico, ECP Hydrocarbons Mexico, as well as PetroBal, and Vista Oil & Gas Holding II have already started the prequalification process to contend in the auction.

The areas are located in terrestrial fields that contain 23.2 million barrels of oil equivalent of potential reserves.

The tender seeks to find a partner for Pemex to jointly exploit these areas, so that companies provide technology and resources for their development.
