Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:RE:HC Big News?

RE:RE:HC Big News?Agreed but the stock price has to be suffering a bit simply because HC approval is the catalyst for new plantings.  The longer the delay the greater the impact on cash flow.  As we know, the advantage of being ready to go once approval is complete is extremely important.  If Aphria burns through its cash before its expected cash flow materializes the greater the likelihood of another offering and dilution (or perhaps worse, another hostile takeover attempt).  At least the ousting of the founders, combined with the report, gives the market some confidence and an offering would be possible but at what cost to the shareholders.  Hopefully we do not come to that.   The investment by the Canada Pension Plan Board was a big plus.  Once Aphria has licensing watch out!
