Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

CEO

CEOI find Irwin Simon's remarks somewhat counterintuitive regarding waiting until things are settled before bringing in a new CEO.  I would think one would want to bring in a strong and proactive CEO to help right the ship.  If all the issues are sorted, what is the point of bringing in anyone?  This does lead me to believe there was some between the line negotiating in those remarks.  Essentially the message is "we are well on the way to significant earnings without having to go hat in hand to anyone."  That to me is a pretty strong card to put on the table.

But...I have gone from thinking there will be a surprise NR about Board composition that will boost this stock in the short term to just keeping my shares for the long term and wait for this to play out over the next year or two.  At some point (I would hope) the numbers will begin to matter in this sector.  The primary question for me is whether I am better served with put my money in other companies.  Though it has been rather frustrating of late (watching this stock fluctuate between 12.98 and 13.01 is futile), I still believe at some point that earnings and profit margins will become a factor.  Holding on...simply because I do not see a better option.  I do not have the resources or the time to jump on hype plays like VFF.  I am not bashing this, in fact I am envious.  I simply do not have the inside track that some have.  Aprhria it is for me....primarily because I do believe they may be headed toward 1B earnings by 2020,
