RE:From 2015 until now...nightridefm - (4/9/2019 8:59:44 PM) From 2015 until now... Many events have taken place, some good, some bad, some seemingly ugly. Some call me a pumper. I would disagree. There are some bashers. They would probably disagree with this characterization as well.
However, the main question for many is how did UR go from $5.00 per share to $0.10 per share? This is a complex question, and if you analyze the business excluding the SP, the answers become more clear.
UrtheCast is the brainchild of George Tyc. UrtheDaily, OptiSAR, and UrthePipeline were in the engineering vault well before the ISS camera's were deployed. These camera's were a test case not only to test a novel technology (first HD camera is space), but also to help the two afforementioned constellations and analytics program get into motion.
One of the biggest hurdles was gaining access to the sheer mass of engineering required to develop these two constellation and to develop an analytics program able to put this data into a usable scientific grade format. I've always said (as have others) that the acquisition of Deimos was more about the huam engineering capital than the company as a whole. They now have expertise to process this data with the acquisition of GeoSys.
UrtheDaily, OptiSAR, and UrthePipeline are now fully engineered, tested, and ready to go to market. This is extremely positive and a tangible source of value regardless of what the SP reflects. The new CEO and CFO have shown they are reducing costs by rightsizing the company to reflect these changes in engineering needs. This is also extremely positive.
UR has upgraded their board to include people who have worked for and are tangibly connected to some of the biggest financial institutions in the world. The new board advised the CEO and CFO to effectively cancel the previous credit agreement for UD becaue they believe (I do as well) they can get a far more attractive and less dilutive deal in the near term.
So, from 5 dollars to 10 cents? What is the catch? Obviously the financials are bad, maybe even ugly. This is what the shorts and people who don't understand the progress UR have capitalized on. It is one way to look at the picture, rational, but a partial and extremely simplistic view. This space is about ideas, testing of these ideas, and having a team that can get it to market. UR can and will get these three ideas (UD, SAR, Pipeline) to market in one for or another. Whether it is licensed out and UR processes the data is another story.
My thesis on the SP has been vastly different than others for the past 4 years, this happens, especially for a development phase company. However, my long term vision of what UR will be hasn't changed and has grown stronger. I've continued to buy and not sell because of this. Keep an eye on UR at the very least, good things are, and always have been right around the corner. It's just a matter of time until the SP reflects that.
Well said night, hopefully you will start posting here more often again, I strongly believe in everything you have said here and for those reasons I am loaded to a level where at higher prices I would never have been able to achieve.
A company which plans on filing bankrupty does not go out and purchase a 20 million dollar company!!
Cheers
