Investment school won't help you solve this mystery...

I would be surprised if any of the directors are aware of the current share price and the notion of a share buyback isn't remotely on their radar.  This is all about extending the charade until they run out of cash and then they can blame Google or Facebook or the government for their demise.

A share buyback would signal they care about B shareholders.  They don't and will only care about them when they stop paying the dividend and they lose control of their playground.
