RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:COP's heavy spending for Blueberry Montney (C$4,400/acre) Argue all you want, it’s a misleading comparison. Different time, different area. Theoretically that land was uncharted in the Montney however everyone knew what was potentially there the results were better than expected though.

i used to live in FSJ and worked both with COP and CKE in these particular assets. There is a notable difference between the land they own and the geography of it. COP is in a sweet spot, CKE is not. CKE lands are also more remote while COP is an hour out of town just off the highway. Maybe a better company can pull better production out of CKEs lands but with what they’ve shown so far, they aren’t as valuable. This is especially true in a depressed price environment as we currently see with energy stocks out of favour, even more so than when COP purchased.
