Xbox and press releaseI don’t think so as Raouf stated back in January that the company they are working with would double the sales volume from their current VR customer base.
Unless the XBOX vr system was producing some serious revenue, but it sounds like you stated they shelved the deal???
Raouf was very verbal in the January presentation, and now his lips are sealed . In the article posted, which was speculative in nature Sony very firmly stated there is no comment about their VR2 plans at this time!
So again, either they are very close to some sort of a deal and need confidentiality or they might be moving in a different direction!
Raouf was very upbeat and sounded pretty puffy about the progress of the relationship and the technology progress point they were at!
So my guess is we’re still live as this gear probably needs a tethered connection to power the quality of the games the PS5 is capable of producing!
For sure it was a big tease, so we will probably learn about this in a few months!
If they have a considerable ramp in their VR revenue in Q2, this will be the biggest clue they have a big fish ramping up for the Holiday buying season which manufacturers will begin shipping in about 4-5 months.( Sept-Octoberish distribution of their goods into retail channels )
Did anyone else notice that in their press release they use both phrases “design ins” and “Design Wins” when describing their VR ramp of 9 new customers and 55 total for their Data Center Designs!
Do you think it is just the same thing or is it significant as to orders in the pipeline depending on the Win or the In?
Maybe just being to detailed in my search for clues in their release...
All the above just my opinion...
