RE:RE:RE:RE:More distributionGregoriou wrote: i actually meant to say that medmen has real problems. im not sure i want our products in a store that has the kind of problems they have.
right now, dixie has quite a few plusses and minuses:
on the negative side:
-trades on bad exchange so volume and institutional buying is nil.
-has their name and logo on a product called dixie botanicals that they dont own (was given to medicalmj inc as part of a settlement 3 years ago.
-is subject to the ongoing evolution of edibles laws and branding that is just now being sorted out. dried flower and tinctures appear to be ok, but edibles still have a lot of color, packaging and form factor laws that are being worked out.
-has yet to partner with any "big name" company like planet13, curaleaf etc.
-needs to show earnings of 4 million or higher for a quarter to truly take off. right now their last earnigns was something like 2.4 million.
- does not appear to have "fast onset" technology in their beverages. i need to know if they have this or are working on this.
- has not appeared to have filed earnings in a timely fashion. last earnings was early december!
on the plusses:
- arguably the biggest and best pure multistate play on edibles
- consistently wins awards and positive reviews for their products
- has a balm that is very well received in the medical community. (nice moat for innovation)
- is in 400 plus stores and growing
- has stated plans to be in at least 3 more states this year alone
- has some of the best graphic design and branding in the industry.
- has international plays in south america and now talking about europe and canada soon.
- has acreage and auxly directors on the their board
- is doing 10-15 million a year in revenues already, despite only carrying a tiny 100 mil market cap. this means we are at just 5 or 6 times forward estimates, which is basically an industry leading value.
- has earnings coming out any day that should serve as catalyst
Thanks for this! Very strange and confusing for the customer that another company is labeling their products with our brand and getting away with it legally. Sounds like a major issue, expecially if Dixie keeps growing and always has that shadow of Dixie Botanicals behind them. I think its better off Dixie rebrands to avoid confusion. It will be painful in the beginning but you dont want to keep growing and have to make this decision in the future when it will have a bigger impact.
