Mr Sprott

Mr Sprott Interesting to note how various posters suddenly materialize out of nowhere on this bb .
There is no question that Eric Sprott has been incredibly successful for his own account .He is one of Canadas wealthiest men .
The issue on this bb I would assume is ,can he make money for small investors ???
The answer there, is somewhat more cloudy .One can go back and look at the history of the Sprott hedge funds .Anyone remember “peak oil” ,shorting the stock market when it was 10000 points lower etc .As far as I am aware he just invests for his own account these days and no longer manages other peoples money .He is certainly no Warren Buffet when it comes to making money for small investors .
He has a large amount of money and I would assume keeps a lot of it somewhere safe and uses “play “money”to invest in juniors often at much more favorable rates than small investors .These play money amounts are often quite large .So investing in juniors and following him is by no means a guaranteed way of making money .One recent example is Pacton for example .The Pilbara gold rush is another example of gold fever ,just look at what has happened to Novos stock price ,or Artemis ,De Grey etc .As I have said before there are some parallels between ARV and RNX .Except ARV is now down below 5 cents from a 60 cent or so peak ,it has large number of shares outstanding as do many Aussie stocks .Its promoter president has recently departed having presumably  made a lot of money for “Mick”.There are striking similarities between the ARV bulletin board on hot copper and the RNX bb ,except ARV is much further along and the participants are all depressed and upset at thier losses .
One has to do ones own due diligence .Gold fever is so powerful every few years it sucks in a bunch of small investors ,the majority of whome loose thier shirt .They are the “cannon fodder” for the small golds and the insiders and promoters .It is an endless repeating cycle .
25 -30 years ago there was a huge bull market in small golds and everything went up like crazy including clunkers .Those of us who have been investing in this space for a long time are waiting for the next explosion ,sadly it doesnt seem to be on the horizon despite all the pundits on various gold websites predicting it and to date they have all been wrong .
If it happens it will lift up RNX and a bunch of others. The question will be ,will it come in time to save RNX ??
