RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Strategic Moves at Guyana GoldfieldsThere is a mill and a small market cap. But where is the economic ore body? Very low grade narrow pipes of gold, to be mined underground in hard rock with probably significant unaccounted dilution at increasing cost, with concerns about water at depth. The RPA report makes generous assumptions, and is pretty optimistic. Huge capex coming, and probably an equity offering at low prices. Good leverage to the POG, but it cuts both ways, in that if gold falls to 1100, you're toast. At least debt is paid off, but they'll need money soon. I don't know what safe jurisdiction means. Nowhere is safe. They raised the royalties before. There is official corruption in Guyana. Clearly, there is cause for concern about corporate governance, to say the least. A rally in gold would likely drive the stock up. If that's your game, so be it. But as an investment? I wouldn't be surprised if the profits promised by RPA failed to materialize. There is always exploration potential, but what are the odds they find something new after 25 years? More than zero I guess.
