RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Thoughts on Rec. 2.0 Regulations and where we are atI know what you are saying Treehugger, and I'm not in favour of GMOs either. I avoid them when I can. But the reality is that products from Cannabis sativa are now industrial-scale food/drug commodities, like alcohol, tobacco, and other smokable, edible or drinkable products derived from plants. It's a logical consequence of becoming legalized, as now the big agro-industry players and smaller biotech cos. can become involved on the production side, just like big pharma and big alcohol are on the branding, marketing and distribution side. I don't like it, but that's the reality. It's going to be hard for ambitious growers like APH and others to compete and succeed if they don't adopt the promising high-yielding varieties (assuming those become commercially available). And since I'm here to make money on APH (my largest single holding by far), I want them to succeed. Although I'd like to think there will always be a niche for small speciality "organic" growers who use only "non-GMO" hemp plants, just as there still are for all other crop plants. But that niche is likely to be mostly confined to small-scale producers selling at farmers markets - not the fate for APH I sincerely hope!!
