they aren't working for free they get paid in stock based compensation which is the industry standard because it forces the directors/ senior management to  make decisions and do things that make the company as much money as possible to increase the share price. It's been that way since the 80's IIRC. For example boris and albert own a combined 13+ million shares. If things go the way I think they will go those guys will be multi millionaires
