RE:Waldo Perez

RE:Waldo Perez

I was shareholder of LAC when Waldo Perez lead it.
No he did not lead LAC to production, LAC is not there yet, but he lead it from discovery to FS to JV.
JV deal looked poor at the time, 25M for 50%, especially on background or ORL that received 10X more while ORL kept 67%.
In long run, it was a win as it guaranteed road to production which proved to be more important than 50% stake as financing became available, but Waldo left soon after that to NLC. Overall, LAC capitalization and s/p won big on this deal.

He seem to have good sense of timing. Would he reject heavily diluted deal for LAC, who knows, LAC might not get it before Li fell out of favor and LAC still might be looking for $.
He also, made few good project financing deals for NLC when Li was hot comodity. Thanks to it, we are enjoying strong cash postion now, that helping NLC not only out-waiting the slump, but keep developing.

ML did the same, but so many are cash strapped and hybernating now. Wealth Minerals, for example started at the same time, premium geography, but no $ = no movement...

He also, seem to understand how to deal with local governments as LAC die not have any issues in this domain.
I think, after FS, NLC might need to hire experienced production VP or will invite one in case of JV.
I will not be surprises if Waldo signing JV, but he can go through FS and wait when the price is right, patience is key now.
