The terms of the financing agreement by GA Opportunities stipulated that the private placement was conditional on acquiring Aphria. GGB buying back would have been a legal requirement they would have been forced to fulfill, despite having to complete another raise shortly after.

It's very unfortunate that no one bothers reading NRs or SEDAR filings here anymore, and would rather read a short seller's BS opinion report as factual.
