Here are the facts: 75% of Canadians drink alcohol which includes wine and spirits / Beer's share of the alcohol market is 45.6% (2017 vs. 54.1% in 2002) / Gen Z and millenials consume 20% less booze than >30 yr olds / WSJ confirms in a recent report that all the big brewers are witnessing "high single digit percentage drops" in sales with no end in sight / nevermind that Canadians drink more alcohol than the global average so the #'s for other countries are even smaller than you suggest / And Sproutly has given up 50% of with the MH JV yet still sports a +$100M mkt cap ... Just to clarify, if we are referring to potential consumers as the “buying base” which is what I believe Benduck was referring to in terms of populous figures, then the “base” cannot be limited to those that currently consume alcohol.  It is not accurate to predict that the only potential consumers of THC beverages are those that currently consume alcoholic beverages.  I believe you may have miss understood the figures Hawk.

I agree that the base figures provided by Ben are a bit inflated as THC infused beverages will be limited to a client base of age to purchase/consume and therefore does not reflect the entire population.  However, the non THC (CBD only) beverages may have a broader consumer base, and may encompass the entire population.

Although your comment missed the mark, the drop in alcohol sales is accurate and proves the point that there is a demand for an alternative to alcoholic products.  Cannabis has arrived to market with exceptional timing and will provide many companies with an opportunity to take part in this advantageous period. Despite your continuous slam of the MH/Spr JV, Sproutly remains in a favourable position to compete.
