I just read that CGC's oil/softgel revenue for Q1 was only $0.2 million compared to $36.5 million from the previous quarter. I told you months ago that their oils/softgels were very expensive compared to competitors and that people wouldn't pay that price but you told me I didn't know what I was talking about. Unless they continue to lower their prices of oils/softgels to be more in line with competitors (which they've already started to do), the bloodbath WILL continue. Ignore me if you want, and I'll see you again in 3 months. :-)
Let me get this straight . So you think that from one quarter to the next their sales in soft gels dropped 36.3 million because they are too expensive . try again
No, I think they dropped because there is NO demand for them and dispensaries aren't buying them because they can't even sell the ones they already have. Once again you want to be angry at me for simply telling you the truth. They are TOO expensive! Feel free to disagree/be angry with me but MARK MY WORDS, their pricing for oils/softgels is an issue. I'm a long time medical and recreational user in Canada, I know what I'm talking about...
Nobody is angry . I dont get upset on stockhouse . But back to pricing . Nothing drops off a cliff like that in 1 quarter due to it being a tad bit more than others ( not all are more btw) . Some lps are more expensive than others but you get what you pay for . Spectrum oils are superior
ACB san rafael~ pink kush gel caps 8mg bottle
=56.55
san rafael delahaze 6 MG bottle
=56.55
tweed houndstooth/ bakerstreet/ highlands/argyle 10 MG bottles
=58.80
And argyle also contains 12 MG CBD where as san rafeal does not.
This is the OCS pricing and it was the same last time we had this convo
Ontario has a much bigger problem with the black market than my province. There are physical stores were you can buy gummies, vape pens, thc drinks, etc. for pennies on the dollar compared to the OCS's prices (for capsules/oils anyway since you can't buy vape pens or drinks legally yet). I think that better explains their lower demand but of course I'm only speculating. At least in Manitoba (which also has a healthy black market but no black market stores), you can get oils as low as $20 compared to $45 which is the starting price for Canopy oils. I saw a bottle of 60 10mg capsules for $200. If I can get even their sativa oil that has 1000mg for $99, I wouldn't pay $200 to get 600mg. Sure, there may be a difference in quality, but I'm not going to pay twice the price to find out lol (I get my oils on the medical side anyway, not from spectrum though).
