I agree with everything you have said! I wonder why there have not been more analyst buy recommendations and why the consortium that bought 5 million shares from Brookfield @ $13.00 has not been promoting the shares. I am still annoyed that Brookfield issued the private placement just when PDL was hitting new highs @$26.00. That really killed interest in these shares. Hopefully the special dividend will attract more interest. Going forward I expect Brookfield will just milk PDL by having them declare special dividends each quarter until they can find a large mining company to purchase the company at a better price.
