Profit is a nice word and, of course, the end goal. But the early word in a growth stock is growing revenues.
18 years ago I was on a plane sitting beside a priest. I had no money to invest but loved talking stocks and, oddly enough, so did this priest. He was going on and on to me about how he LOVED Amazon.com. I didnt know much of the company but never forgot his obsession with it. I checked the price after the flight. Never forgot that too. If I had money to buy 10,000 bucks worth of it on that day my stake would be worth close to 2.5 million Canadian dollars today. But, of course, if I had that cash it invest and knew you at the time YOU dear sweetheart would have steered me clear of that disaster because they hadn't PROFITED yet. Take a look for yourself and tell me how often amazon has posted a profit in the last 18 years of growing the company from $10 a share to $1750... wanna make a guess?
As a further aside I was sitting beside another priest in collar (who turned out to be the Archbishop) just last month. True story. I mentioned the above story to him and that the priest was on the same flight (so presumably one of his underlings). We chuckled and then he slid into the conversation..."umm, did you remember his name ...[no] ..well did he give you his card?..[no]". Archbishop was thinking the same thing I have been for years, somewhere out there is a damned RICH priest.
your a funny person! Nothing to do with this stock though
