RE:Why can't inferred resources be calculated instantaineously?Nothing, but at this point we don't have enough data yet and even if we did Chris is avoiding putting out a resourse estimate so as to avoid creating the impression that the deposit will be only so big !
As he's said numerous times, you can't define a resourse until you've found the edges first and we haven't even come close to finding the edges yet.
You better believe that GBR Geo's know exactly what they are looking at when results come out and I'm pretty certain Newmont and others do too.
Publishing that information in bits and pieces probably doesn't help our cause.
It's possible that we aren't/won't release the data we've been assembling until we have enough of it to make real impact. Even though Chris has met with a bunch of Co.'s and investors recently, ostensibly to warm them up, I believe the game plan is to make as big an impact as we possible can so the Majors are set back on their heals and will need time to figure out what we've got before they can mount an unwanted takeover offer.
Hopefully while they're pondering that, our stock price will have risen enough that even if they do pounce earlier than we would like at least it would have to be an offer than is significantly higher than where we are now.
And of course we will create the Royalty Co. giving us a bit more leverage.
We are playing our cards very close to our chest until we get that one card that delivers the Royal Flush.
Think we are getting very close too !
A theory anyway ! Tminus1blkswan wrote: I'm an engineer but not of the geo-tech kind. Can anyone explain to me what prevents an inferred resources calculation to be run as drilling results come back from the lab? With all the computing power we have these days, I would have thought this could happen almost instantaneously.
Thanks.
