RE:Detour Gold share structure
Rookie,
Thanks for posting that article, a very interesting read. Its pretty much a no brainer we will be seeing some serious institutional buying in the near future, possibly even on Monday, as we all know, the early bird gets the worm.
I think it is very significant that institutions own 55% of detour. If we can expect even half that in the short term, that means about 100 million shares getting gobbled up on the open market. I like that A LOT. There really be a HUGE advantage to those who get in first. I guess this is where the quality and speed of their anaylists comes in to determine who is smartest, and also who is boldest.
We might even see other majors taking a significant position to hedge their bets on future offers. Given at anytime WM can pull dirlls like 38m of 27g/t, this is a lot like a texas hold em hand, and we are sitting on a pair of aces with all the rest of the cards to go.
That this story will end with a very well priced buy out it is in my opinion pretty much a forgone conclusion. Those who get in early and heavy will reap the benefits, and those of us longs who are already in, well, its good to be in on the ground floor. My guess is in a year or less we will all own a pile of KL shares, and it will have been good ol' uncle Eric who brokered the deal.
