Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

It depends of your investment style and it is not mine. I am after the big bucks $.
They entered the MJ business but they are also selling tomatoes and cucumbers where the margin is and will always been "a lot but a lot lower" than MJ. 2.22% of revenue growth over 5 years. I prefer the pure MJ vertically companies than a company who sells vegetables that will always be handicapped by their other productions. They also produce power that will never generate as much revenue than a pure vertically cannabis producers.

VFF
5-Year Avg. Revenue Growth 2.22%

APHA
5-Year Avg. Revenue Growth 948.82%

It doesn't mean it is a bad investment but I prefer a pure player. This is why I won't dig further for VFF. Their non-cannabis businesses will always drag behind the pure cannabis players. Even their vegetable production is more lucrative than its energy production.

Village Farms International Inc, along with its subsidiaries owns and operates agricultural greenhouse facilities. It produces, markets, and sells tomatoes, bell peppers, and cucumbers. It also produces power. The company operates its business through segments that are Produce Business and Energy Business. The Produce Business segment generates maximum revenue for the company.
