So we get an Instagram post saying 'we are nice hardworking people' and weed md shareholders get an open letter explaining all the details of what's going on with the business. Again just comparing the differences to see what we might expect from NRTH leadership.

I know I’ve posted this before but the saying has been on my mind this week...I really believe that weed opens your mind and creates a space for tolerance and understanding. It’s weird working in the cannabis industry which is super stressful, highly competitive and often has nothing to do with weed. I don’t think many people realize how challenging it is to build a cannabis company in Canada. Most of our companies are only 2 or 3 years old. I truly only took the reigns and created 48North two years ago. In that time we’ve taken a beautifully built facility with no license in Northern Ontario and built what @48nrth is today. All of us in this industry have had to learn how to be cultivators (indoor, greenhouse, outdoor), extractors, manufacturers of products including food, vape, cosmetic etc. Each of these verticals alone can take years to perfect and hone in the CPG industry. We are dealing with a relatively new work force...it wasn’t possible to hire someone with experience in the regulated cannabis industry until very recently. So everyone is learning together. Learning the regulations. Learning the many lessons of cultivation and extraction...making educated assumptions....and trying our damn hardest to be as accurate as possible. Many things come together at the last moment....licensing, construction, deals, people....and we never ever ever give up. I know that I’m working harder than I’ve ever worked in my life and I am truly trying my hardest to be transparent and authentic in everything we do. It’s not easy. The choices we make effect so many people who are working their butts off to build this company. I know without a doubt that @48nrth has the most amazing team of passionate, smart, dedicated people around. We are honest people. Truly. Trying our best to navigate the strict regulations...collect as much data as possible to help inform us as we move forward into new territories....like outdoor growing.
We’ve learned a $hit ton of lessons this year and I’m truly excited for the next phase of our growing business. What a long strange trip it’s been.
