RE:UNICORNWe all particularly, retails agree with this 100%. The big guys, big institutions and the veteran analysts don't seem to get it or ignores it, at least that's how it feels looking at the overal market behaviour.
Those of us are long, most of us think in this way. You used to be a big critic for a long time, now you have long position and you see all good things, that's truly a good thing. I don't mean bad (just want to see your assessment of the current situation disregarding our own position).
If you were to go back to your old position (and or no position), how would you describe the current situation and the market sentiment/behaviour?
There must be a reason the way market is behaving particularly, towards canop. Just want to see your take on the current market behaviour! Thanks
Starsearcher80 wrote: Unicorn. It's a word you've maybe heard before in the stock market, and it certainly applies to Canopy as far as I'm concerned. It's not to say that there aren't, or won't be, competitors. But it IS to say that Canopy is currently SO far out in front of competitors, that you have to ask are they really competitors at all.
FIRST. BIGGEST. BEST. On the beverage front this absolutely IS Canopy. And with that, I think the unicorn status is both fully appropriate and well deserverd. Here's a deeper look into the beverage side of things.
1) CANOPY
-11 Beverage products being offered "with more added throughout the year"
-150,000 share ft plant FULLY operational, able to produce 5 MILLION cans/bottles per month (!!) (and don't forget, also the ability to produce 2 million vapes per month).
The "competition"
1) HEXO: Hexo is a MESS imho. (Beverages are under "Truss Beverage Co".)
-currently announced a layoff of 200 employees.
-caught producing without licenses. (I'm sure Molson's is regretting ever linking with this "company")
- their plant was "schedule to open last April, but STILL YET TO OPEN.
-According to Global News, "the company also noted some regulatory uncertainty in the market, and limitations on cannabis derivative products". DUH. YOU SCREWED YOURSELF WITH HC GROWING WITHOUT LICENSES.
- ONLY offering 2 CBD drinks. NO THC offerings at all. Only talking about 6 products total...someday.
Partnered with Constellation, essentially the biggest and best beverage company on the planet.
2) TILRAY: (In with Labatt's. parent is Anheuser-Busch)
-Beverages under the name "Fluent";
-NO SPECIFIC PRODUCTS OR LAUNCH DATE. (Thanks for coming out!)
talking evental CBD offering...no mention of THC offering. Furthermore, ceo Socquet said "he didn't have a timeline for when he expects Fuent's THC beverages to be ready." Further (as of Oct 10th) hasn't produced ANY product yet, but it is currently commissioning the machines needed " (Again, thanks for coming out.
I think what we're going to see out of the gate is pretty much MASSIVE domination by Canopy of the beverage space. Other "contenders" don't seem to have there research completed, faciilies ready to go, and even if they did, have only limited cbd offerings at best.
I'll say it again for Canopy.
FIRST. BIGGEST. BEST.
Canopy WILL be a beverage Unicorn imho.
