These banners include Saks Fifth Avenue, Hudson's Bay, Lord & Taylor, and Off 5th in North America and Galeria Kaufhof, Galeria Inno, and Sportarena in Europe. HBC also has investments in real estate joint ventures. In Canada, it has partnered with RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust in the RioCan-HBC joint venture.

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Seems to me ...The $11.00 is not even going to be put to a vote.  The special committee did not recommend it because the Baker Group would vote it down. The $10.30 vote will fail. After that there are some possibilities: 1. Baker Gtoup will increase their offer 2.In January, some of Baker’s partners join with Catalyst. 3. Nothing happens and the status quo remains. 4. Baker is forced out and  HBC takes a different approach to maximize its assets. 

From my viewpoint, this line from the Baker group that they are doing this because they have s long term horizon and more capital needs to be invested, is malarky.  What is that plan?I think they have a plan to maximize the real estate and sell Saks and HBC, which actually have some value, especially Saks. All the bottom feeder chains have been sold now.
