I have been watching this as well as many other companies in this area and they all have basically tanked since around May of this year.
With the year end and selling off for tax write offs, I am holding off to see if there is a deal to be had for a little news bounce.
If I look only at the technicals, the possibility of it testing .12 CAD is a possibility.
Nothing is ever in stone in the world of Stocks and Lies, but that is where the charts take me, so until the end of the year, I will wait and see if it hits that level, and if not, No harm no foul and keep my eye on this sector to see if anything will actually turn around and become recognized in the financial world.
This is more to my original point of this thread. Regardless of the sausage making regarding licenses, copacking, and the JV, you have to get shelf space and mind space. These execs know this, and I am sure they are working diligently on the technical issues. I don' t believe it's strategy. Good strategy is grabbing shelf space as fast as you can.
I agree that first mover strategy to gain consumer awareness and pole position on shelf space is crucial. However, that was not an option for SPR. SPR/MH resources are no comparison to that of a company like Canopy. Whom so far are the only cannabis beverage producers producing thanks to having resources that allowed them to build there own private facilities.
SPR will be entering the market behind schedule and perhaps that may be a challenge or perhaps it could be an advantage. Either way, it was not part of plan A to have HC regs cause a delay. Therefore they have resorted to plan B, which is a strategic plan not to finalize the JV and perhaps the patent until they get the cart behind the horse and are ready to ride. The shelf space and first to market plan you speak of is long gone since they announced no submissions to HC in October. SPR was forced to react and realign. As Munch stated, I too do not believe that they are still debating or mediating differences on JV details, but rather a stroke of penmanship once packaging and HC licensing is in line.
