Addition and cost cutting?????
Addition and cost cutting?????Not really an addition in the sense of new blood but an addition in the sense of dilution to shareholders. Same staff just bumped up into a whole new (expensive) position.
I did get out of that last nr that they seem to want to be putting their effort into California and Calyx. Losing the bulk of that business was typical of putting all of your eggs in one basket. It is not easy to be compliant which is the same as being in business in California with game changing rules happening as we go, but others are doing it. I believe it is because they have maintained focus, kept their eye on the prize and pushed ahead.
I have thrown some names out there to investors like Bhang and Dixie Brands who have also been hammered in this downdraft of enthusiasm for pot stocks and these two clearly didn't anticipate the pressure of being a publicly traded company. I still like them because they have survived for close to 10 years, both have 100 plus skus and marketing, distribution and manufacturing lined up and international ambitions along with awards for their products. They are also a hellofalot cheaper than what I paid for my shares.
Greenrush stocks all ran ahead of their true value and are still coming back to earth, including the blue quality biggies like Canopy, Aurora and Aphria.
The sentiment being so negative has caused more realistic evaluations but progressive, active potpreneurs will survive long enough to see the tide of sentiment turn when our law and policy makers get this sorted out. At present they are focused on protecting us from ourselves and aren't weighing the effects of their meddling especially with respect to wrestling marijuana from the black market players. The serious players are lobbying and giving input to the thinktanks that are charged with the responsibility of legalization but this takes time.
MSOs are gaining strength in the US in anticipation of descheduling or more channels for legalization and sales, like banking, brokering, access to capital which have severely limited participation by US investors.
That will be the biggest catalyst for change for marijuana and hemp investors.
EAT is a MSO with a bunch of embers but no fire anywhere and if they can't fan the flames in Cali, they should head for the hills. glta and dyodd
