Prices in the stores.
Check out the prices for Aurora drift products . . . I think I'll stay Black market thank You very much. Idiots think their the only game in town. If prices don't stay competitive for everyday people this industry is in trouble. A friend went to a store in Vancouver and told me the cheapest pot was Jeanguy and it was $65.00 plus tax. Other brands went up to $100,00 plus tax for AN EIGTH of pot plus TAX.
Now lets look at the vap cartrages tangerine dream for .3 of a gram was $70.00 plus "now get this" plus GST and PST which comes to $78.00 then hehe here's a lil honey for us all to choke on, then they add "THE VAP TAX" which is 20% more coming to a total of $94.08 out the door. BUT WAIT . . . you still need the battery cartrage to smoke it with. Every province is different, that was in a store in Vancouver
I can take 20 grams of pot mulch it up put it in a "I use a turkey baster" spray in ahalf can of butane while holding it over a glass 8x8 baking pan and let the fluid drain into it. maybe use a lil more butane to make sure the resin completely leaves the product. I have to do this 3 times due to the volume of pot. Setting that aside I then take the baking pan and put it into an electric fry pan containing boiling water. essentially making a double boiler. I then adgitate the oil I drained from the turkey baster which is in the 8x8 pan with a flat blade in order to remove all of the butane bubbles from the product. When all the butane is released I take the baking pan from the water and let it cool. After cooling you will find aprox 3 grams of shatter. The same product they are trying to sell in the .3gram cartrages. So people for the price of butane and 20 grams of pot, which might cost $100,00 you will get $700.00 worth of shatter without the PST & GST & VAP TAX depending on the province of purchase. By the way our trusted government charges $17-$20 for a pack of cigarettes that only cost $0.25 to manufacture, packaging included.
Yea yep Your trusted government. Ripping you off at every chance. Oh did you hear they are even introducing licencing tax's on Electric Vehicles too. Don't that make you proud to be Canadian. Environmental tax . . . believe it!
This industry has more challenges then enough for investors as it try's getting off the ground without the tax man waiting around the corner saying Wait there's more. Just sharing my opinion.
