questions, questions

questions, questions

Some time in H2, we are told, Lucara faces its biggest decision since it first bought in to the AK6 project.

Should we go underground or "call it a day" when the open pit reaches maximum depth?

We know what going underground means but what about 'calling it a day'?

Does it mean selling the whole bang shoot and walking away?

Or could it mean spinning out Clara first, before selling Karowe and walking away?

Then again, could it mean mothballing AK6 for the time being and moving on to another open pit somewhere else?

...and if there is a 'somewhere else', is it close enough to utilise Karowe as a processing unit? Is it within trucking distance or, better yet, conveyoring distance?

Is there any evidence for a somewhere else? Well, the minerals Minister says that someone has discovered something somewhere.

...and why does the President want to talk about taking a stake in a company that might be "calling it a day".

2020 is going to be an important year one way or the other.
