Once again, you prove that you don't do your homework and have no idea what you're talking about.

The USA is now the largest oil-producing country on Earth (close to 13 million bpd), and is now actually exporting oil! So it's much more complicated than you imply. This is why the Fed has now said that higher oil prices no longer reduce GDP or harm the American economy...because the pain the consumer feels at the pump is offset by the hiring and rising wages in the oil production sector.

Ironically, this means a collapse in oil prices (say to $25 to $30) could well trigger a recession in the US!  So get your facts straight before you post, will ya?
