The grade does not change that much between high/low depth. It is the widths of the grade that change significantly for most of the Homestake Ledges like Ledge 9, with the Centroid containing the greathest widths of gold ore. See pg. J39, as per the Homestake pdf document Django shared on this board earlier: "Overall, average ore ledge grade remains relatively constant, decreasing slightly as the transition is made into upper and lower tail areas. As an example, in Main Ledge, geologic grade varies 1.5 g Au/t between the core and lower tail areas"
I believe the grade is there but not for the intervals (at least 5-6m) that they are looking for. The next set of wedge holes appear very promising in that regard.
