RE:why now?It reflects fundamental corruption in the sector. To do a financing at near the lows of the past couple of months (rather than at a 50dma avg price) is clearly a setup to bring somebody in at a discount price, to the detriment of existing shareholders. This financing didn't just 'pop up', these things take time. How did they set that price? This was a terrible thing to do to shareholders and IMO speaks very poorly of the company's consideration for their shareholders.
