Interesting thought. If they did then I think Canada should tariff  too to protect our strategic industries from unfair market manipulation. The tariffs wouldn't cost a lot as we would possibly use more of our own production which would otherwise be shut down at a loss anyway. 
Canada would receivemore  taxes received from home production plus some from duties.


Absolutely. Adopt a burn domestic policy. Bump up the number of freight trains to St. John and process our own oil there. Irving would cry crocodile tears to the feds but would eventually tow the line.


East coast refinery product prices would increase if it was shipped by rail. Tanker shipping is much less.
