ITT.V and 5G in North America I'm seeing lots of talk about the 5G infrastructure being deployed in North America, as we all stay home during Covid-19. After seeing Trump sign into law "the broadband deployment act" last week, I too feel 5G is liturally around the corner, and is probably in the beginning stages of deployment. What is 5G and what does this mean for us???
4G network = 10,000 connected devices per sq/mile
5G network = 3,000,000 connected devices per sq/mile
And when you add AI on top of the 5G platform itself, face recognition and voice deployment could take place with ease.
So, where is ITT.V in all this??? China deployed 5G first in Wuhan, China (where Covid-19 originated) This 5G launch was protected by the Chinese firewall so no outside companies can follow. China wants to dominate the next level (5G) and not just the technology, but the apps, services and business models to be all Chinese companies as well. So, HUAWEI got billions of dollars to develope 5G, and following them was Baidu, Alibaba group and lastly TENCENT... the mother company to New Hope Group, who is in a joint venture with ITT.V since 2017.
