RE:At what point to we take profits....or do we?That's my least favourite part about this for whatever reason... if you have big gains, it's tough to think clearly.
My advice is to think about your situation - like most here, you just doubled or tripled your money in a short period of time. You are now investing that money in this company at this price point.. don't think of it as invisible money that doesn't count and you can afford to lose it.  It's real money right now if you sell.
We are all (mainly) optimistic here but noone has a crystal ball. 

I've held companies that I should have sold and regretted it and I sold shares I should have held on to and regretted it.. but rarley did I regret taking a big profit too early.

I'm older now and try to just invest in companies I like and want to hold till I need to sell for income, but that's my two cents - hope it helps.
