I was pleasantly surprised to note the 6+% increase in share price yesterday, and now another similar tick upwards today! As discussed previously, AD was removed from the S&P TSX Composite Index yesterday so I thought there would have been a lot of selling pressure with ETFs and Mutual Funds linked to the Composite Index dumping their shares. Then the announcement yesterday AM about converting from a dividend-paying corporation to a distribution-paying income trust roused a lot of concern about the unknown consequences for tax liabilities associated with the change. And then such a positive market reaction! Go figure the market!
