RE:RE:Just staying the course Thanks ratsnake for all your posts .
your information is instrumental as it help us in making rational decisions .
I think the way the quarters work for Corus are as follows Q4 is June / July / August and Q1 is September / October / November . And Q2 is December / January/ February ?
It seems pretty unanimous that like they will be heading into slower times in the next 12 months. It's a good thing that most people are aware of this.
The current price seems reflective of that knowledge.
What seems very fascinating and resilient about this company is that even with their great reduction in revenue is that they are still profitable. They are still even expensing 20c EPS in depreciation on a quarterly basis . That's a considerable amount of cash flow on 200 million plus shares !
I find it fascinating that people are pursuing and bidding up other equities in many companies that are showing losses . I haven't seen a quarterly or annual operating loss of any kind in CJR , albeit profits are down . Yes , there have been writedowns , but not a single operating loss going back years.
It's highly possible that macro driven events will rule the price on Corus equities going forward . If we get some large dips on indexes etc , this should create an irrational price that may offer some good buy and hold value for anyone who sees through the negative .
Ratsnakes information is very fresh and current and should be taken seriously . He's not being negative or positive . He's just stating the facts as he hears them .
Its up to us to use his info rationally .
