Just a Solo thought Another thing to consider about Solo. If 75% of travel is by a single person in a vehicle, then if vehicles like the Solo became more commonplace and being much narrower than a full sized vehicle, the highways would be able to be reconfigured to handle more traffic. Say for example a highway with 4 lanes running in the same direction might be adjusted to 2 lanes for regular vehicles and the remaing 2 lanes could be made into 3 for vehicles like the Solo.This would relieve a lot of congestion on the roads much like what is trying to be accomplished with HOV lanes now, but probably more so. Not to mention the reduction in pollution. Just another reason why the government should increase the rebate on the purchase of a Solo even more.
