Quidel reports that the test is 100% specific and 80% sensitive. In 143 patient samples, there were zero false positives and 12 false negatives.

I'll take 96% sensitive over 80 anytime.. considering false negatives are the most dangerous. Ramifications from false positive, the subject has to isolate or get another test. False negative, subject free to spread the virus.
