Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

What happened  to Acreages value to make it 4 x cheaper? Did Acreage reject the deal or did they just swallow it???

Like any deal their are risks associated with it . Every indication points to the trigger event happening soon. Getting the deal in place prior to laws changing is paramount . The price tags on MSO's will skyrocket as well as competition from others trying to  frantically get deals done makes for a crowded field . Its like reserving a table at the hottest restaurant on opening night versus trying to show up and hope to get served .

Getting this leg up on the comp was why the market reacted so favorable to the deal . And on top of that Canopy recently restructured the deal which now is more than 4 times cheaper .
