The word was vacum, it and suck should be struck from the language. There is no such thing as a vacum as it is not a thing but an absence of a thing respective to a presence of a thing. Common  class type education loads one down with such obscuring perceptual realities to their detriment. Even instruments pander to the deception. Your compressor for instance has a psig gauge or psi gauge. It’s zero is calibrated to display zero at one atmosphere or roughly 14.7 psi. A psia gauge is a proper gauge is calibrated to display 14.7 in our atmosphere. The a on the end of psia is for absolute.largely a scientific/lab or space useage instrument. Take a psia gauge and put a different gauge face on it and the so called vacum section of the dial is just a progression to the absolute. So called suck is just an equalizing flow which can exhibit entrainment of things close to that which it can capture. If one did a thought experiment with an psia gauge in hand all makes sense. If one had the gauge in their hand in space it would read zero. As one descended down into our atmosphere the gauge would begin to rise from zero progressively until your feet touched the ground at which point it would reach about 14.7 or one bar. It is the weight of the colum of atmosphere above you. If an empty hole was in the ground and you descended into it the gauge would continue to rise. Descending into a more dense matierial such as the sea would cause a faster rise in the gauge. Some I am sure are quite aware of such things and some not so much. A vacuum cleaner just pumps out so that flow will be established into the condition. If one stands in the wind and sees a piece of garbage blow down the street they will say it’s blown. If they see a piece of garbage get “sucked” into a vacum cleaner they will say it got “sucked” in. It is very much the same thing both were blown into or along. I had to wash the bad word from my mouth after I realized I used it. I had a few run ins with flat earthers over on u tube before as they are such small picture ego based thinkers. They hardly stand a chance as ego isn’t exactly a tool of understanding. Oh well I am rectified for now.
