Precision Medicine is here & SQI has an important role!
Precision Medicine is here & SQI has an important role! Think precision or personalized medicine. (detect, measure and GUIDE therapies)
SQI's serology test will be able to be used to quantify antibodies at a nanoparticle level, and therefore will be of use only days after infection....making it a valuable test in determining not only that someone HAD Covid, but also if they currently HAVE Covid? I would like to suggest there may be some updates to prevailing or traditional experience and thinking.
Standard serology tests have typically had to be taken at least a couple weeks after initial infection in order for there to be enough antibodies to be detected. We will be learning more about SQI's technology very soon, but look for technology that will be able to detect antibodies after only days! This will be a huge benefit, as this antibody test will be able to quantify the level of antibodies from the smallest levels to the largest. This is why when Rob joined the company, there has been a subtle change to SQI, in calling it a precision medicine company.....they have yet to promote this aspect. Big days and weeks ahead!
Now think a little bigger (or a lot!!).....A Covid Serology test that not only detects antibodies, but quantifies them in nanoparticles. Why use an old antigen test to detect the virus (and they haven't worked all that well anyway), and also why use a non-specific serology test? A highly sensitive serology antibody test replaces both of these old tests given its ability to pick up antibodies only days after initial infection (that is huge). Being able to determine specific levels of antibodies is also important in determining when a vaccination or re-vaccination is required. keep thinking.....
The benefits in a test of this nature are huge....
Stay tuned,
