So if I understand well, I would have to open a margin account, buy 1000 shares with $1,450 upfront? The bank would have an outstanding loan of $5800 (@5.80) and they would hold my existing 4000 shares in collateral. But If my shares are held in a TFSA they are not eligible for collateral right?! So how can I do this if I don't hold XBC shares in a non-reg. plan? Thanks TT for your clarification, I think I'm starting to get it but not sure tho
