No doubt that could have come in play with the "investors" as well. Dragging the closure of the PP essentially gave them a "call option" on the stock. Obviously if the stock was trading way north of $1 they would have likely closed the deal.
I initially invested in GSI for the stop arm, but knew the money maker would still be the integration of video surveillance, AI, and data analytics. The COVID angle for me was a bonus and most of us agree, it has limited ability to screen out COVID.
More interested in the $30M SEPTA upgrade contract and additional transit authorities (San Fran, NYC, Toronto, Dubai) who may be interested in GSI's core products as the concept of Smart Cities develop. Doug's plan is to transition more towards data analytics and he is building an ecosystem here with hardware providing data. So what's been going on here in the past 3 months?
