Sernova's Worth?? $$$$$$+ :) Speculation on the real worth of a penny wonder junior called Sernova that seemingly has a figurative cure for diabetes and much more suggests at least a rounding error (i.e. a few billions of dollars) in the books for any Big Pharma.
Vertex took out SEMMA for U$950 million (some C$4 to 5/SVA share). SEMMA has far less to offer than Sernova. This sets a likely floor for valuation.
Novo Nordisk is big with treating diabetes. The following link shows a takeout for U$1.8 billion for a pill coating to allow drugs to be better delivered to diabetics. Considering that Sernova has a figurative cure for diabetics taking insulin (i.e. NOT just Type I diabetics) and has other applications for The Pouch. This would suggest that U$1.8 billion (C$8 to 10/SVA share) is a more likely floor.
Lest one forgets, Sanofi took out Bioverativ for U$11.6 billion to corner the hemophilia market... Yes, the Pouch can do that too (but early days yet). This alone would be over C$50/SVA share...
Now that we have a range of from C$4 (or $5)/SVA share to over C$50, where do I believe Sernova is likely to go for as a Buy, Bye?
My take is in the C$4 to C12/SVA share and closer to C$6 to C$8/SVA share. That is a gut feel and nothing more. Will it go for that, or will it go? We wait to see.
