The hunt for "white oil"https://www.theguardian.com/news/2020/dec/08/the-curse-of-white-oil-electric-vehicles-dirty-secret-lithium
Lithium is a scarce commodity used in the EV battery industry. The demand for lithium is rampting up and is going to continue to grow which is driving the lithium mining industry.
If investors think the push back against oil is awkward, wait until they see what happens when lithium miners roll in heavy duty machinery to gouge out massive and permanent scars in landscapes all in the name of creating energy sucking Teslas that produce more GHG than ICEV's.
ENB is for clean energy but they realize that the demand for energy is increasing and it will take decades to implement a renewable infrastructure. In the interim, ENB will continue to be a leader in supplying safe and reliable energy with a shrinking GHG footprint and they will be at the forefront of the new renewable energy roll out.
The more I learn about ENB, the better I like the company. It is inconceivable to me that the yield on the shares will gravitate back down to 5% and below as things settle down. Do the math and smile
