So, usually, we are seeing a drop in the SP in December in about all juniors because of the tax loss selling season. Investors that bought at a higher SP during the year than the current SP in December can declare a loss on their tax form. They cannot buy back the stock for a period of one month when they use that tax credit. So, this is causing a selling pressure in December but gives a nice boost to the SP in January when they buy back!
December is almost always a good month to get cheap shares. But this year for ANX, there were only about 3,5M shares on the TSX bought over 63 cents during the peak so there is not a lot of people with red in their ANX holding justifying to take advantage and the risk to declare a loss and be blacked out for a month. There are too much catalysts for ANX in my opinion for taking that risk.
I have a stink bid at 52 cents for ANX, but I do not expect it to be filled to be honest. I succeeded in getting some cheap shares for other plays though.
