RE:OT - Jeff and Ferguson - rare earths

RE:OT - Jeff and Ferguson - rare earthsTwo commodities that I like are silver and Uranium. Silver like Jeff said is in alot of commercial products and supplies are limited until new mines come on. Uranium is another commodity gaining interest... often it lags the sexy gold ir rate earth market. The cash market is slowly climbing and limited projects that are ready to put into production. One thing I caution on hoping governments fund projects or promote for rare earth is .... they didn't do it 10 years ago, there are lots of niche mines that could go ahead of they had the government support but they havent yet. China controls the market on RE and and if the prices get too attractive China does what they always do. They do what is in the best for China. They have invested all over the world for strategic investments on commodities that they rely on. Look at the investment they have made in south america for grain and oilseed, Africa for mining.
