Re: Future of TV/Optimism re: viability of our Ad Biz While I anticipate that traditional linear TV is in a secular decline overall (will still survive in some capacity though), and will continue to take a hit with market share, I am very bullish on local TV. I think that most local stations will either individually, or as large groups, make deals with various streamers to carry their feeds. I think this is one of the components of linear TV (along with sports) that people value very much. If it is made available to cord cutters, I think it will continue to be consumed. On top of this, I also have a mild conviction/long term view that there will be regulatory tailwinds for local channels. The government has an interest in preserving this content; think mandating streaming services such as Prime, Dis streaming, Peacock, a future version of Netflix, etc. to carry a package of local channels.
Why do I bring this up? Ask yourself, how many broadcast destinations that Yangaroo services are local vs. national/cable? My estimations are that the vast majority of destinations would skew local, and there will be a market opportunity there.
Again, I think the market size will be smaller in the future, but there are areas of optimism that I am beginning to come around on.
