RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:watch out for capitualtion
*sigh* All I would say to that is a 50-50 split in the Senate is not a blank cheque to pass whatever legislation your heart desires. Most legislation requires 60 votes to close debate and pass the Senate (barring the use of the 'Nuclear Option' so named because of its damaging and therefore limited use). That means compromise within Congress and, more often than not, a middle of the road approach.
Some people talk as though there's never been a Democratic House, Senate, and White House before. I'd like to remind those people that Barack Obama started his term with just such a constellation and the world did not end (shocker). Was left leaning legislation passed? You bet. Did every Democrat get a pony? Far from it. Note that, among others, both immigration reform and the closing of Guantanamo Bay didn't happen despite being top legislative priorities for Obama. That's because this is politics and, despite what preached from the bully pulpit, politics is all about compromise and horse trading. No member of Congress is compelled to vote with thier party like we have in Canada. That means broad consensus must be achieved to pass legislation up the the president to be signed.
There is no illuminati, no cabal of blood-drinking titans of industry, and George Sonos is not after your favorite cereal for its high sugar content. Are there powerful people that attempt to influence the system for thier desired ends? Yes, on both sides. And they even get thier way sometimes; you need only look at the tax code in most countries for indications of this. But the frankly idiotic suggestion that we are but a few short days away from being microchipped, sent to re-education camps, forced to bow to our new Chinese ant overlords, and submit to their "total control" is just stupid. Grow up. Welcome to the real world. If you were to stop drinking the Kool-Aid for a moment, you might actually see that there is a sore loser on a stage in Washington right now demanding that his right hand man, without presenting ANY tangible evidence, circumvent the will of the people and the constitution and install him for another term for the low, low cost democracy in America. Something you supposedly believe in. Thankfully there are enough adults in the room, likely including Mike Pence, to prevent this. But this episode should put people under no illusions that democracy has been and always will be paper thin and dependent on good people standing up and doing the right thing. And that's the last thing I'll say on the subject.
As for Exro, know what you have and don't worry about this current drop in share price. There's no reason why this technology wouldn't be scalable and once shown to be effective by the Potentia field tests we'll be off to the next leg higher. Use this period of weakness as a buying opportunity if you can. GLTA Longs.
